Before you start your pay per click campaign, make sure you give special attention to your keyword selection. The keywords you select will determine the type of visitors you’ll get to your site. When selecting your keywords, you want to make sure that your keywords are relevant to the content of your site. If you fail to select keywords that are relevant to your site, you run the risk of getting website traffic that is not targeted.

Here is how you should set up a proper pay per click campaign…

1) Go to any search engine and do a search for “Google keyword selection tool”. This keyword tool will give you two options:

a) Descriptive Words or Phrases: This is where you can enter a single keyword or keywords phrase and Google robot will give you a list of keywords that are similar to the keyword or keywords you entered. It will even give you the estimated searches that were done on a particular keyword in the previous month. It will also give you the estimated cost per click for that keyword and the estimated average position of an ad when a visitor types in that particular keyword

b ) Website Content: This is the method I recommend you use. With this method, you enter your website url in the field given and click on the “Get keyword ideas” button. The Google robot will scan your page and return the various relevant keywords it found on your page. As with method# 1 above, It will give you the estimated searches that were done on a particular keyword in the previous month. It will also give you the estimated cost per click for that keyword and the estimated average position of an ad when a visitor types in that particular keyword.

2) Selecting Keyword: This is where you will select the keywords that you will actually use in your campaign. Now go through the keywords list and choose only those keywords that are relevant to the content of your site. Make sure you place a check mark in the box of the keywords you have chosen. Do not make the mistake of placing a check mark in the box of all the keywords. Remember, the goal here is to choose only keywords that are relevant to the content of your site. Once you have selected your keywords, download these keywords to your computer. You’ll be using them for your campaign.

3) Ad Title: This is the most important part of your ad. You only have a few seconds to grab the attention of your visitor. So make sure your ad title includes the greatest benefit your site has to offer and make sure you include one keyword in your title.

4) Ad Description: The purpose of the ad description is to write brief and concise sentences that will entice the visitor to click on your ad. Do not try to sell your visitor anything. Once your visitor clicks on your ad and is taken to your website, your website should do the selling.

5) Display Url and Target Url: The display url is the website url that is displayed just below the ad description and the target url is the website that the visitor is taken to once they click on your ad. Make sure that both of these urls are the same. Some pay per click companies will not approve your ad if these urls are different.

NOTE: You should write at least 10 ads using the info above. This way, you’ll be able to see which ads are being clicked on the most. The ads that are being clicked on the most are the ads you will want to focus on as these ads will be your most effective ads.

6) Set Budget: This is where you will decide how much you are willing to pay when someone clicks on your ad. You can also set how much you are willing to spend per day on your entire campaign. I like to start all of my keywords with the minimum bid which is usually $0.10 to $0.25 per click and I like to set my daily budget at $5 per day.

Once your keywords and ads are approved, your ad will go live on the search engine. Keep in mind that if you are not getting clicks on a particular keyword, you will need to raise the bid of that keyword. Also, don’t forget to advertise on some of the smaller search engines. You’ll be surprise at the amount and quality of traffic you can get from these search engines. I hope that this article has been informative and I wish you success in your pay per click advertising.

Junk Articles Equal No Traffic To Your Website

First, let me say this: There is no guarantee that your article will be approved by any directory. But if you follow the tips below, you will greatly increase your chances of getting your article approved. Tip# 1: Before you submit your article to a directory, make sure you read their author’s rules and guidelines. The majority of the directories basically have the same guidelines, but there are some directories whose guidelines are somewhat different. Reading these guidelines first will save you some valuable time. It will also save the directory owner time as he will not have to waste his time checking an article that does not conform to his guidelines. Once you have read these guidelines, you can adjust your article to ensure that it conforms to the directory’s author guidelines. So read the directories guidelines first. Tip# 2: The content of your article is very important. Do not write in general terms. Be specific as possible. People are searching the internet everyday looking for useful information and not junk information. The last thing they need is an article that does not offer any concrete or practical ideas or tips. Your article should be informative and help the reader solve his problems. It should give him the answers he’s looking for. After the reader has read your article, you want him to feel that he learned something and that he found your article useful. Tip# 3: Make sure you are using proper grammar and make sure you check your article for spelling errors. If you fail to follow this rule, your article will never get read. Readers will not waste their time if the article is filled with poor grammar and misspelled words. This is such a turn off to readers. In fact, the reader will probably never click on the links in your author’s resource box. Why you ask? Well, by now, the reader is thinking this is such a horrible article I’m afraid to see what he is selling. So do yourself a favor, take the time to check your grammar and spelling. To help you with your grammar and spelling, go to any search engine and do a search for “Free Online Grammar Checker” and then do a search for “Free Online Spell Checker”. There are some awesome free programs that you can use online to ensure that your articles are grammatical correct and free from spelling errors. Tip# 4: Make sure that your article is formatted properly. A reader will not attempt to read your article if your paragraphs consist of seven or more lines and if you have either not enough space or too much space between paragraphs. For one thing, articles formatted in this matter are not attractive and are hard to read. Make sure you have at least two to five lines per paragraph and that you have double spaces between paragraphs. Tip# 5: Html codes in the body of the article and word count. Some directories allow html codes within the body of the article. But the majority of the directories do not allow html codes in the body of the article. To make sure that you always conform to the guideline of no html code in the body of the article, I suggest you always write your articles without html codes. Also, articles directories have a requirement that your article must be a certain length. Most directories require that your article be at least 500 words in length. I suggest that you make sure that all of your articles are at least 550 words in length. This way you will certainly meet the requirements of just about all of the directories out there. In conclusion, there is no guarantee that your article will be approved. But if you follow the simple guidelines as set forth by the article directories, you will greatly increase your chances of getting your article approved. I hope that you have found this article useful and informative and I wish you success in your article marketing endeavors.

It does matter who you are or what level of marketing experience you have, building a mailing list is simple if you apply the right techniques. Below are the basic steps on how to build a mailing list:

1) First you will need an autoresponder. This is the workhorse and the backbone of building your list. An autoresponder is a program that automatically sends an email response to anyone that sends an email to your autoresponder email address. The autoresponder will allow you to put your business on 100% auto pilot.

To find the best autoresponders, go to any search engine and do a search on “Autoresponder Services”. You can compare different autoresponder companies and select the one you like the best. The majority of the companies charge $17.99 per month. This is a small amount to pay considering the money you will make by building you own list.

2) Lead Capture Form: This is the form that you will place on your website and this is where people will enter their name and email address in order to join your list. NOTE: When you join an autoresponder service, your account will already have your lead capture form set up. All you have to do is copy and paste the form on your website.

But before you place the form on your website, you will need to target your website visitors. In other words, what group of people will be interested in what you have to offer. For example, let’s say you were promoting a business opportunity. The type of traffic you should be driving to your site are people who are interested in business opportunities, working from home, making money online, home based business…etc.

So in order to attract these people, you might want to put the following heading on your lead capture form: “Subscribe to my mailing list and receive FREE Business Opportunity and Marketing Tips”. People like free stuff, so you will have no problem getting people to join your list. Once you have decided what verbiage you want on your lead capture form, do not place the form on your website just yet. You will need to do one more step.

3) You will now need to set up your messages within the autoresponder. When setting up your messages, your first message should be the confirmation message. The purpose of the confirmation message is to have the subscriber confirm that he wants to join your list. The confirmation process will also protect you from spam complaints. NOTE: Most autoresponder companies will have the confirmation email message already set up for you. So you will not have to worrying about what to say in that message.

4) You will now need to set up the additional messages in the autoresponder starting with message# 1. Message# 1 will be sent to the subscriber as soon as he confirms his subscription to your list. Message# 1 should be the information the subscriber has requested. When setting up the additional messages, you can choose how many days the autoresponder system should wait before it sends the next message. I recommend you have your messages go out every 7 days. If you send your subscribers 2 or 3 messages a week, your subscribers might find this annoying.

NOTE: Your messages should not try to sell your subscribers anything. In our example of targeting business opportunity seekers, your messages should be filled with business opportunities and marketing tips. Step# 5 below will show you how to make money with your mailing list.

5) Making Money With Your List: People don’t buy from strangers on the Internet. So as you build your list, you need to establish a trusting relationship with your subscribers by given them relevant and useful information. According to the marketing gurus, a subscriber will need to see your product at least 7 times before he feels he can trust you and buy from you. So build a trusting relationship with your subscriber first.

Once you have the subscriber’s trust, you can now start to recommend products and services to your subscribers. If you are part of an affiliate program, you can send an email to all of your subscribers recommending one of your affiliate products. When they click on your affiliate link and make a purchase, you will then earn a commission and this is how you should make money with your list.

NOTE: Before recommending a product to your subscribers, make sure that you try and test the product yourself. Otherwise, you will lose credibility with your subscribers if you recommend a product that does not work as advertised.

In conclusion, this article was written to give you the basics of building your mailing list with targeted website visitors. Once you join an autoresponder company, you can read their Frequently Asked Questions section (F.A.Q.). The F.A.Q section will give you all the details. Thanks for reading this article and I hope that you found this article useful and informative.
